November Favorites

RO M-am decis ca de acum incolo sa incerc ca de fiecare data cand fac o postare despre favoritele lunii, pe langa mici review-uri de produse, sa incerc sa fac si o mica sectiune de favorite mai personale, si anume, intamplari, stari, etc. Sa imi spuneti daca va plac mai mult genul acesta de postari, iar daca va plac, vom continua cu formatul acesta de acum incolo.

EN I decided that from now on, i would try to include a small section in my favorites of the month posts with some things more personal, such as events, or feelings or something like that because i feel that mini product reviews can be a bit too impersonal, even tough it is my opinion on them. So if you like this format, i will continue like this from now on, and if not, I will go back to the old one.

RO Eu sunt o obsedata de concealere, mereu in cautarea noii minuni in materie de putere de acoperire. Nu mai tin minte daca am mai spus acest lucru si in alta postare, dar eu sufar de niste cearcane groaznice. Ele se datoreaza atat lipsei de somn, dar si job-ului meu (programator) care implica statul cu ochii in calculator minim 8 ore pe zi. Asa ca tot timpul sunt in cautare de noi produse care sa imi dea acel aspect de ten proaspat si odihnit. In afara de cearcane, tenul meu nu prea are alte probleme. Foarte rar, daca nu ma demachiez seara inainte de a ma duce la culcare, imi mai apare cate un mic cos, care in o zi, poate doua, dispare.

EN I am a concealer-holic. I am always searching for the next great thing with concealers. I can’t remember if I have said this before, but i suffer from really bad under eye circles. This is due to the fact that I don’t sleep enough, but also because of my job (software engineer) which implies that i have to spend a minimum of 8 hours/day in front of a computer. So i am always looking for new products that help me look fresh and awake. Other than that, my skin is pretty good, the only exception being the occasional pimple if I don’t take off my makeup by the end of the day. But those usually go away in a day or two.

 

 

RO El vine intr-o cutiuta cam cat o crema de ochi, poate chiar mai mica. Nu este un fond de ten, dar nici un corector propriu zis. Ca si textura este extrem de cremos, dar nu un cremos lichid. Pot sa tin cutiuta rasturnata o zi intreaga si produsul nu se misca de loc. Acestea fiind spuse, are o putere de acoperire foarte mare. Acopera orice. Trebuie avuta grija in alegerea culorii, deoarece au multe nuante. Daca se doreste a fi folosit ca si fond de ten, trebuie amestecat cu o crema hidratanta pe mana, inainte de aplicare. Ca si corector, eu aplic doar crema sub ochi inainte de el, iar datorita cremei, produsul este putin inmuiat si se intinde si arata mai bine pe piele. Singurul lui dezavantaj este pretul, 35 euro de pe Beautybay. Al meu este in nuanta SX5, care este pentru ten deschis la culoare, cu nuante neutre.

EN It comes is a small little container, similar to the eye cream containers, maybe a bit smaller. It is not a foundation but it is also not a concealer. Its texture is similar to a very thick cream. You can set the container upside down for a full day and the product inside does not move. This being said, it has a very high coverage. It covers anything. You just have to be careful in choosing the right color. If you want to use it as a foundation, you have to mix it with a moisturizer before you apply it. When i use it as a concealer, i apply a bit of eye cream and then the product over over it. This helps it blend better and look more natural. Its only drawback is the price, 35 euros on Beautybay. I have mine in the color SX5 which is marketed for light skin tones with neutral undertones.

RO Trecem de la obiecte scumpe la ceva putin mai ieftin si mai versatil si anume o paleta cu farduri de pleoape in nuante complet mate, naturale. Aceasta contine 12 nuante, de la bej foarte deschis, aproape alb, pana la un negru intens. Toate culorile sunt minunate, foarte pigmentate si usor de folosit. Unele sunt putin mai prafoase dar pe ochi toate arata la fel de bine si rezista toata ziua. Este o mica paletuta ideala atat la machiajul de zi cat si la cel de seara. Singurul ei dezavantaj este ca nu se gaseste usor. Eu mi-am comandat-o de pe Ebay si am platit 25$ pe ea + 5$ transportul.

EN Going from really expensive products to something more affordable and versatile, such as this completely matte eye shadow palette. It contains 12 shades, ranging from an almost white one, to a really intense black. All the colors are gorgeous, very pigmented and easy to use. Some of them can be a bit chalky but when applied, they all look gorgeous and last the whole day on the eyes. This is a great little palette which can be ideal for daytime and night time makeup. Its only drawback is that you can’t get a hold of it to easily. I ordered mine on Ebay and it cost 25$+ 5$ shipping.

 

 

 

Levi’s Slight Curve Skinny Jeans

 

RO Mi-am cumparat acesti blugi deoarece am prins o reducere foarte mare in magazinul Levi’s (5 produse la 50 euro) si cred ca a fost cea mai buna achizitie pe care am facut-o vreodata. Sunt comozi, imi vin bine, materialul este foarte moale, si am primit si multe complimente cand ii purtam. Sunt prima mea pereche de blugi Levi’s, dar cred ca de acum incolo voi incerca sa raman fidela blugilor de la ei 🙂 Puteti sa ma vedeti purtandu-i in postarea ACEASTA.

EN I got these jeans because they were part of a major sale at the Levi’s store (5 products for 50 euro) and i think it has probably been the best purchase i ever made. They are comfortable, they fit really nice, the material is very soft and whenever i wear them i receive a lot of compliments. They are my first Levi’s jeans and i think that i will try from now on to stick to this brand for the jeans 🙂 You can see me wearing them in THIS post.

A Weekend With My Dog

RO Pentru cei care nu stiati, pana anul trecut locuia cu noi catelusa noastra, Maya. Dar din cauza programului foarte haotic si lung de la serviciu, am decis ca pentru ea e mai bine sa stea cu parintii mei. La ei acasa e tot timpul cineva, plus ca mai au inca un catelus si asa nu ar mai fi nevoita sa stea singurica si sa intre in depresie. Insa, weekendul trecut, fiind un weekend prelungit din cauza Zilei Nationale a Romaniei, am decis ca vrem sa o luam sa stea cu noi cateva zile. Mi-am dat seama cat a lipsit sufletelul asta mic din apartament. Chiar daca Didi pleca putin de acasa, simteam ca nu am ramas singura. Si tot timpul imi distragea atentia, ba pentru ca voia sa se joace, ba pentru ca ii era foame.Era ca si un magnet pentru ochii mei, tot timpu imi atragea privirea. Plus ca ea e incredibil de frumoasa. Eu tot timpu o alint mica chinezoaica. Chiar daca e imposibil de zis ca un catel ar semana cu un chinez :)) Oricum are niste ochisori migdalati, cu niste gene foarte lungi. Iar cum e asa micuta si are codita, e ca o mica papusica. Am simtit un mare gol cand a trebuit sa o ducem inapoi. Dar macar acum de sarbatori o sa am ocazia sa o vad mai des si poate chiar sa o aduc inca o data stea putin si cu noi.

EN For those of you who did not know, until last year, our little dog,Maya, used to live with us. However, because of our long and crazy work schedule, we decided that is was best for her to stay with my parents. There is always someone at their house, plus they have another Yorkie, Skippy, so she would not have to spend the day alone any more. But last weekend was the National Day of Romania and we had a day off work, so we decided to take her at our place and spend some days together. And it made me realized how much i missed having this little soul in our apartment.  Even if Didi went out a bit, i felt that i wasn’t alone. Plus that she kept calling for my attention, whether it was because she wanted to play, or because she needed to be fed, and my eyes were always drawn to her. Plus that she is incredibly beautiful. I sometimes call her my little Chinese, even tough dogs can’t possibly look like Chinese people. :)) But she has these gorgeous almond eyes with long lashes. And she is so tiny and because of her little ponytail she is like a little doll. Anyway, i was really sad when it was time to take her back home. My only consolation is that the holidays are coming and i can bring her to our apartment again.

 

 

Frozen Landscape

RO Nu stiu cum e prin alte parti ale lumii/ Romaniei, dar la Cluj saptamanile trecute a fost incredibil de frig. A si nins putin, dar nu s-a depus inca nimic. In schimb, peste tot in jurul nostru totul era inghetat. Poate unora nu le place vremea aceasta cu vant si frig si ninsoare, insa, pentru mine, din cauza ca totul era mult mai alb, mi se parea ca totul era mult mai curat si ma facea sa devin mult mai entuziasmata pentru Craciun si sporturile de iarna 🙂 Chiar ma facea sa imi doresc sa ma apuc de impodobit bradul, chiar daca Didi radea de mine cand ii spuneam asta. 🙂 Si ma facea entuziasmata pentru postari legate de aceasta perioada… cu cadouri si mici atentii pe care le putem oferi celor dragi. Sper sincer sa am putina vreme pentru niste postari cu tema Craciunului. Acum parca imi pare rau ca nu le-am pregatit din timp. 😦

EN I don’t know how the weather is like in other parts of the world/of Romania, but in Cluj this past few weeks have been incredibly cold. It even snowed a bit, but the snow did not last. However, everything around us was frozen. Maybe some of you don’t like this weather with strong winds, snow and cold temperatures, but i love it because everything seems more clean and white and it made me excited for Christmas and winter activities 🙂 It even made me want to set up a Christmas tree even if Didi was laughing at me when i was telling him this 🙂 And it made me excited for posts related to this time of the year. I’m just sad that i didn’t prepare them ahead of time. 😦
